The best times to use batteries in Carnival Tycoon

Even though coins are the main currency of the game, batteries are sometimes the most useful. But to get the most of your spins, there are certain times that you should be using them, and other times that you should be saving them. Of course, sometimes this can depend on your own personal strategy, but there are still some great tips that everyone can use: 

Wait until the last minutes of a tournament

If you are limited in spins but you want to make the leaderboard to win some cool rewards, it’s always best to save your spins until the last few minutes. Players will regularly check where they are in the tournament and will hope for attacks and raids so that they can beat you. By waiting until the last few minutes, players won’t expect you to jump in front of them at the last minute. But be careful, don’t wait too long because you never know how long it will take for you to land on an attack or a raid. 

Use batteries for important milestones

Say you just unlocked a reward on the side event and the next one is in 400 points. If you don’t have enough energy, or the reward isn’t appealing, you should wait for it to reset to get the rewards you want. Sometimes players are pushed into using all of their spins at once, but waiting it out will get you further in the long run.

Save batteries for shields

The more you attack, the more you will be attacked. That’s why after a long session, you can return to the game an hour later and see that you no longer have any shields left. Getting attacked can cost you lots of coins from rebuilding, so you should always have some free batteries left to get yourself more shields when you need them. Check back every now and again to see if you need to get some more to protect your buildings. 

Wait for events with big rewards

Some events can give huge rewards, such as partner events with up to 4,000 batteries up for grabs. These events can be tough to complete, so make sure to save up some batteries before the event starts. That way, you will be sure to get the most items possible for the event. If you notice that some events don’t pay well, you don’t have to participate in them and you can just wait them out.
