In Carnival Tycoon, attacks and raids are game-changers when it comes to earning coins and progressing faster. Knowing when to strike, who to target, and how to defend yourself can make the difference between becoming a rich tycoon or constantly rebuilding your amusement park.
This guide will show you everything you need to know about attacks, raids, shields, and revenge strategies—plus pro tips to maximize your winnings!
What Are Attacks & Raids?
Whenever you spin the slot machine, you have a chance to land on:
Attack Icon – Lets you smash a random player’s park.
Raid Icon – Digs up coins from another player’s hidden stash.
Both of these actions help you earn coins fast—but they also play a huge role in side events, where attacking and raiding often earn leaderboard points for extra rewards!
How Attacks Work
When you land on an Attack Icon, you get the chance to damage another player’s park and steal some of their coins. The player will be notified that you attacked them and stole some coins, so be careful of revenge.
Attacks will give you x2 or x4 points depending on which multiplier you are spinning on. For example, if you are spinning on x10, you will get 20 points for the side event if the player has shields and 40 points if the player doesn’t.
So, if you manage to attack a player who doesn’t have any shields left, you will get double the coins and double the points.
Attacks in Carnival Tycoon are also useful for other special events like Clown Fright for example. If these events are running, you will get extra points and rewards.
How to Make the Most of Attacks:
Time it Right – Attacking during an event gives extra rewards.
Target Weaker Players – If someone has no shields, you’ll steal more coins.
Use Revenge – Hit back at players who attacked you for bigger payouts.

How Carnival Tycoon Raids Work
Raids are even better than attacks because they allow you to steal directly from another player’s stash—which often has a much larger pile of coins waiting to be claimed!
Like with attacks, raids will give you different amounts of points depending on whether you can complete the raid without landing on a bomb and bankrupt your opponent. You will get x4 if you land on a bomb and x8 points if you manage to get to bankruptcy. For example, if you are spinning with a x20 multiplier, you will get 80 points for the side event if you land on a bomb and 160 points if you don’t. And of course, the further you get, the more coins you win!
Shields are irrelevant for raids, as they don’t make a difference to how much you can steal from a player during a raid.
Raids in Carnival Tycoon are also useful for other special events like Clown Fright for example. If these events are running, you will get extra points and rewards.
How to Make the Most of Raids:
Time it Right – Performing raids during an event will give you extra rewards.
Pick carefully – You can choose up to four treasure chests while raiding, and there is one bomb per row. Choose wisely.
