What is a Golden Blitz in Carnival Tycoon?

If you are a seasoned Carnival Tycoon player, you know that collecting cards is a big part of the game. You may also be aware of something called the Golden Blitz. This event occurs every few weeks when players can exchange gold cards for 24 hours. Here is everything you need to know about Carnival Tycoon’s Golden Blitz: 

How often does a Golden Blitz occur? 

There is not general rule as to when a Golden Blitz will occur, but from our experience, it’s every two weeks on average. You can check out Carnival Tycoon’s social media pages for alerts on when a Golden Blitz is coming and which cards will be exchangeable. 

Don’t forget to plan ahead because gold cards can be very hard to find and this is one of the best ways to get the cards that you need. 

How to exchange cards during a Golden Blitz? 

When a blitz is active, you should see an icon on the right side of your game screen. If you click on it, you will see the cards up for grabs and if you have any duplicates. 

You can chat with players on a Carnival Tycoon Facebook group, or directly in the game chat with your teammates. If you don’t have any duplicates to exchange but you still need one or both of the gold cards, you can try exchanging other cards or trading for stars.

Tip: What is trading for stars? Lots of players trade for stars when they are gold-locked (have all the cards except the gold ones). This means that they are open to trading for a certain amount of stars. This stars can then be exchanged for chests with new packs to open. 

Tips to get the most out of a Carnival Tycoon Golden Blitz

There are a few things you should keep in mind to get the most out of a Carnival Tycoon Golden Blitz. Here’s what you should remember: 

• Save your gold cards: You will never know which two cards will be selected for a blitz, so it’s always best to keep your gold cards when exchanging cards for a chest. You can do this by carefully selecting the cards you want to exchange. 
• Stay up-to-date: Generally, the Carnival Tycoon developers will share the two upcoming cards in a Golden Blitz on their social media pages a few days before the event starts. This gives you time to find someone to exchange with you and plan ahead. 
• Keep an eye on your album: Knowing which Carnival Tycoon cards you need and different ways you can get them is important. This will help you progress and finish sets even faster.
