Collecting cards is a huge part of the Carnival Tycoon game and can lead to massive rewards, but it can be pretty intimidating when you’re just getting started. Here’s everything you need to know about collecting cards in Carnival Tycoon:
Cards, set and the album
You can access your card album in the ‘Card’ tab at the bottom left of your game screen. You will set your different sets, the time remaining to complete and the rewards (generally 15k batteries, cash and a token or shield). If you click on a set, you will also see the rewards you can get for completing a set.
How to get cards
If you are looking for new cards to complete your sets for rewards, there are several things you should be doing. Cards are given when upgrading your buildings, participating in events or trading. Here’s everything you need to know about getting cards in Carnival Tycoon:
Exchanging with other players: If you are looking for a card in particular, your best option is exchanging cards in Carnival Tycoon’s Facebook or Discord group.
Upgrading your buildings: Upgrading buildings will give you a card reward, a cash reward or, occasionally, a few free Carnival Tycoon batteries. Finishing a park can also get you a gold pack.
Participating in events: Most of the events have card packs up for grabs! You can check out the rewards on a specific event to know what you can expect.
Gold cards
Gold cards are the only cards in the album that can not generally be exchanged. The Carnival Tycoon developers organise a “Gold Blitz” every few weeks or so where TWO gold cards can be exchanged. Therefore, it’s important to hold onto your gold duplicates and try not to convert them into chests if you can. Again, you can exchange these gold cards via Facebook or Discord.
Don’t expect to finish an album without paying
According to players, gold cards are getting harder and harder to get, so don’t expect to finish an album without paying. It is possible, but can only happen if you have lots of luck and play often.
